Overview:
The Community Engagement & Talent Development Executive Director will promote community engagement in sports, cultivate local talent, and foster a vibrant, inclusive sports culture in a culturally significant region of Saudi Arabia. This role requires a visionary and dynamic leader who is passionate about sports development, community engagement, and youth empowerment. The successful candidate will design and implement strategies that inspire participation, nurture emerging talent, and support sustainable growth in sports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive, overarching sports engagement strategy to increase community participation and enthusiasm for sports across all age groups.
• Lead talent development programs that identify, train, and support promising athletes, creating pathways for them to advance to regional and national levels.
• Collaborate with local schools, sports clubs, and community organizations to promote youth sports and create accessible opportunities for skill development.
• Foster partnerships with the private and public sector, and sports federations to enhance resources, visibility, and impact of community sports initiatives.
• Oversee community events, workshops, and training sessions that promote inclusivity and inspire a culture of active, healthy living.
• Implement effective frameworks to assess the impact of sports engagement programs, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with regional goals.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and performance-oriented culture.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Community Development, Public Policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• More than 15 years of experience in sports development, community engagement, or youth programs, with more than 7 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing community sports programs and talent development initiatives.
• Strong understanding of the cultural landscape in Saudi Arabia and experience working with diverse communities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
