Job Purpose
Oversee the successful execution of projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Provide leadership and coordination to project teams, design consultants, and operators. Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Ensure the preparation of regular progress reports, collaborate with relevant departments to draft required RFPs, and ensure adherence to the project scope and quality standards throughout the construction phase.
Functional Responsibilities
- Manage projects to ensure successful delivery, meeting all scope, timeline, and budgetary requirements.
- Oversee the planning and performance of PMC and design consultants, ensuring projects align with the project schedule and budget.
- Coordinate with project operators and end-users to integrate their design feedback and inputs.
- Lead progress meetings and workshops, providing guidance and direction to the project team.
- Proactively identify and highlight project risks, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Oversee the preparation of regular weekly and monthly project reports in collaboration with PMC and design consultants.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to prepare necessary RFPs for the project.
- Manage consultant and contractor proposals, preparing evaluations and recommendations for PD review.
- Handle all project-related interactions with procurement, commercial, and legal teams.
- Ensure compliance with project scope, quality standards, and all aspects of construction activities.
Managerial Responsibilities
- Contribute to the sector's strategy, aligning departmental objectives with the overall vision and mission of the company.
- Develop and implement the department’s objectives, KPIs, and operational plans, ensuring that targets are met.
- Assist in the preparation of the department’s annual budget and monitor its financial performance.
- Execute departmental policies and procedures, ensuring that performance is tracked and KPIs are developed, communicated, and monitored effectively.
- Oversee staffing, professional development, and staff deployment within the department.
Job Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
Work Experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Other Requirements
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English (written and oral).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, best practices, and performance benchmarks.
