Overview:
The Social Development Director will be a passionate leader focused on planning and executing transformative and impactful social impact initiatives across the region. The role involves enhancing community well-being, inclusivity, and sustainable growth in a culturally rich and rapidly developing region of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of social issues associated with large-scale urban developments and will lead region-wide initiatives that will support local needs, foster social cohesion, and drive long-term positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive social development strategies that align with the region’s goals for sustainable growth and community engagement.
• Lead initiatives to improve access to social services, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for local communities, with a focus on empowering vulnerable groups.
• Foster partnerships with the private sector, government agencies, NGOs, and local organizations to enhance program effectiveness and leverage resources.
• Oversee community engagement activities, ensuring programs are culturally sensitive, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the region’s residents.
• Design and manage monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of social programs and ensure continuous improvement.
• Advocate for policies that support social equity, well-being, and sustainable development within the region.
• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
• Prepare and present reports on social development outcomes, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Social Development, Public Policy, Community Development, or a related field. Masters degree is highly preferred.
• 15 years of experience in social development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within government or large-scale development projects.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing programs that address social needs and support community empowerment.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabia’s social and cultural landscape.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about working in this field with a strong desire to lead positive change.
